Celebrate the Creative Side of Life
with Linda Peterson

at a weekend of
Sculpting, Stones and Altered Art!

Many of you know her as ‘The Pen Lady’ from HGTV’s  Carol Duvall Show! Well - MTM is pleased as punch to host Linda with three classes that will cover all aspects of multimedia.  As a well-known artist & AMACO designer, Linda works with many mediums and will showcase her skills in more than can be named here.  She will also debut and sign her BRAND NEW book titled “Making Polymer Clay Beads & Jewelry”.

                                        Perfect Poly Pal Pens
                                          Friday March 7th at 6:00 pm $68

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at sculpting but feared failure?  Linda’s ‘Six Simple Shape’ technique will take all the fear (and failure) away from sculpting and will outline an easy to follow formula so that you can create - and keep on creating - adorable whimsical creatures!  We’re going back to the basics and learning the primary six shapes.  Then we’re combining them into complex ones to create an adorable Moose Character.  This same technique can be adapted to a variety of different animals with only some minor changes and a little bit of tweaking.

This three-hour class will focus on the six shapes then adapting them into the character.  If you prefer - you can create Marty as a stand-alone figurine instead of a PolyPen.   If time allows - the shape technique will be re-visited with a second pen or figurine of your choice!

 CLASS SUPPLIES:
Linda will bring a wealth of materials as part of the class supplies for everyone to share.  She will have baby wipes, alcohol wipes, dry chalks, toothpicks, pen bases, polyester fiber, scrap clay, cotton swabs, clay shapers to share and disco music!

Items you need to bring to class are:

Your clay tools including blades, a needle tool, a clay roller, clay shapers (if you own them), your glazed ceramic tile (no smaller than 6”x6”), a pair of pliers and clay.  We will have 3 pasta machines to share - feel free to bring yours if you want to work more quickly.  You must also bring 2 pkgs. of brown and 1 pkg. of tan clay.  Please choose Fimo or Kato brand clay for this project, as Sculpey will be too brittle after baking.
